Mike Leeke has taken on the role of Chairman and Jim Gould will be editing the newsletter.
We welcomed two new (younger!) committee members, Tony Moulder and Ian Mace – Ian is gong to look after our website.
Contact details for these will follow.
As this year’s Pathfinder was heavily dependent on help from Surrey TRF (and would also be the case if we run it next year) we welcomed Kevin Greening from the TRF to put their point on the future of the Pathfinder. After a lively discussion and with similar or possibly more support from the TRF promised for next year it was decided to continue on the new Training Area G1, but incorporating a longer lap if possible. A provisional date of 23rd April 2017 was agreed.
The falling numbers in our Closed to Club trials also came under scrutiny, the only good turnout was for the Christmas charity trial. The possibility of running four events in the Pickling Yards would be investigated but it was felt that we had to keep our options open on the other areas (the Canyon/ Headlongs and Barlows Pit, Hermitage).
Following the meeting Landmarc were contacted and next year’s Pathfinder date was confirmed and booked for 22nd/23rd April on G1.
