Pathfinder 3 Stage Trial – 29th May 2022 – request for observers and marshalls

We are excited to be able to announce that, following a two year Covid hiatus, the Pathfinder 3 Stage trial is now definitely on for Sunday 29th May at Bagshot. As with Pathfinder ’19, we are again fortunate to have the use of both D1 and D2 areas, connected by the tunnel under the M3. We will be using the entrance to D2 on the north side of the M3 for parking, paddock and start area.

This is a call for help for setting the course on Saturday 28th and for marshalling and observers for the event on Sunday 29th. If you are available to help on either, or both days please let me know by text, email or call (jim.gould281@btinternet.com or 0788 402 6475)

Ellisons trial – CTC Round 1 – 19th March 2022

Our first club trial of the year took place at Ellisons amongst the daffoldils and wild garlic on a perfect spring day.
Reynard Norris set his own standards the only A route rider losing just 9 marks, however, there was a good battle on the B route with the Fantic of Stefan Walters (4 marks)just edging it from Dave Barrett (6 marks) on his Beta. Just behind were Adrian Steele (10 marks) and Richard Hawthorne (11).  His brother John lost more than he would have liked on his Triumph (39 marks), but still a great ride and best Pre65 B.
Seren Walters was best Youth A . C route suited Glen Hutchins on his Pre65 James 250 (2 marks), with Youth A rider  Cerys Walters next best on 12.  Of the adults, Jon Evans beat Ron Walters by just 1 mark.

Barlows Pit, Hermitage – working party – 2nd April 22

Barlows Pit, Hermitage – working party

We are planning a sand pit and parking clearance day at Barlows Pit prior to our two trials dates in April & May. In the ‘Covid years’, the sand pit has got rather overgrown and we want to clear it so it’s ready to trial.

We have several local key members confirmed for a work party date of Saturday April 2nd – 10am to 4pm. We would love to see anyone who can offer as much or as little time they can fit in.

The location is Barlows sand pit, it is accessed from the B4009 between Newbury & Hermitage, RG18 9LT   (look out for the signed entrance to “Dallas Motors”)

We have offers of some power tools to assist already but please bring anything suitable by way of brush cutters/chainsaws/handsaws/slashers/rakes etc.

If anyone wants a bit of trials bike only practice then do so  – But ONLY when enough is cleared !

Please book the date & let Brice Haines know you intend helping on 07733017670.

Thank you for you support
