A sunny morning in rural Berkshire enticed 26 riders to sandy Hermitage for CTC 3/25, welcome to returnees & recruits Trevor, Jason, Lewis, Simon & Diccon. Rey & Dave set 3 varied routes of a ‘technical ‘nature, a necessity due to the dry conditions.
The results suggest they did a good job, as usual Bailey was immaculate in cleaning the A route with Rey not far adrift given the 50 years age penalty!
B route was close too, Adrian easing back in to action after a year of body upgrades on 7 marks lost to nick it by only 1 mark from Mark ,himself running in new body parts, with Dave only 3 marks further
adrift.
C route was purposely set to encourage the mixed age & ability range to safely enjoy their day, Jim & Simon sharing a ‘clean’ tie, maybe one of them should adopt a cravat! Glen on his real Pre 67 was a
close 3rd too.
With a few machine gremlins thrown in to the mix several competitors took the opportunity for ‘rider development ‘practice rather than actual results, all welcome!
Nomads take a summer break from the official AMCA CTC series until October 4th followed by the ’Mike Slatter’ ACU open to centre mixed class & Twinshock/pre67 centre championship round on
November 23rd, more updates later in the year!
Meanwhile, the club will be running our flagship ‘Pathfinder 3 Stage Trial’ (listed on ACU Sport 80) on May 18th at Bagshot, help on the weekend always welcome.
We still hope to secure the use of our Silchester venue for a couple of early summer Evening AMCA Trials, again updates will be posted if we get the go ahead
