Aldermaston Nomads 2018 Christmas trial – CTC round 3, Pickling Yards, Mortimer – 29th Dec.

Aldermaston Nomads 2018 Christmas trial – CTC round 3, Pickling Yards, Mortimer 29th Dec.

A fair and surprisingly mild day greeted 35 riders for the annual Christmas trial. Held at the traditional Pickling Yards venue, the dry lead up  to the event allowed Rey and Dave to layout a reasonably dry course and a great days riding was enjoyed by those present.

Reynard Norris picked up the premier on the A route ( despite a 7 week layoff after a hand injury) and Adrian Steele on the B route – though both were only trailed by a handful of marks by second in class riders. Nigel Woods took the C class.

Thanks to everyone for supporting this trail, but particularly to Reynard and Dave for setting out the course, and to the Haines family for providing hot drinks and hotdogs!

Our next event will be round 4 of the club trials championship at Barlows Pit near Hermitage on Saturday 2nd March.

Happy New Year!

Aldermaston Nomads and Surrey TRF – Pathfinder 3 stage trial – Sunday 7th April 2019

Aldermaston Nomads and Surrey TRF are pleased to be able to announce that we will once again be running the Pathfinder 3 stage trial in 2019. Due to a few challenges with land access we have relocated to the Bagshot driver training areas in Surrey. This venue is just a couple of miles from the 2018 Deepcut venue but offers more space and better terrain.

Note that the date will be 7th April 2019.

For those of you that have ridden the event in the past, or are familiar with Trials and Enduro in the South East, you will know how good this venue is, and how lucky we were to get it.
We will be using both sides of the motorway ( D1 and D2)

We would prefer everyone to enter using the ACU online entry system, but will cater for those who don’t have access to do so. Entries are limited to 100.

The regs will be advertised on the Nomads website, Facebook, and the ACU online entry system once available.

Don’t miss your chance to ride a unique event on a great riding area that is not usually available. It’s a great day’s riding suitable for riders of all abilities on pretty much any bike as long as it wears a trials or enduro rear tyre and is well silenced.

Finally, be aware that the reason that Bagshot is difficult to get access to is noise. Make sure your bike is properly silenced. We reserve the right to noise test bikes we consider too noisy.
