A dry and mild day greeted a bumper entry of 40 riders for the Nomads annual Christmas charity trial. The entry consisted of a wide variety of machines – from pre-65 2 stroke twins to the latest trials bikes and even an electric bike. All classes were equally well supported and a good days riding was had by all.
Thanks should go to the Haines family for running the very welcome half-time hotdogs and hot drinks (where else do you get lunch thrown in for your £15 entry fee?) , and as always to Reynard and Dave for layout a fun and largely dry course

We raised nearly a £100 for the landowners charity, which the club will make up to £200, and it was noted that the paddock area was completely clear of rubbish, which all helps to protect this great piece of trials ground. Next trial – Saturday 7th March, . Round 4, Club Trials Championship 19/20 – Ellisons, Thatcham
On a slightly less positive note, one competitors van was scraped in the car park:
“To the person who scraped the side of my black van at the Club Trial on Saturday, please do the decent thing and contact me. The repair costs (scraped plastic side trim and rear wheel arch panel) won’t be huge but your contribution would be appreciated. We trials community are just that, so please step up and give me a call, text, Whatsapp. 07894 554464. Thanks, Roy.”
Merry Christmas from the Aldermaston Nomads!
Don’t forget to come along to the Nomads Christmas trial on Saturday 28th December! Once again we will be the Pickling Yards in Mortimer RG7 3UG, for what is always the biggest entry of the year.
Reynard and Dave have been out setting a course that should be fun and enjoyable for all levels and classes. Start is at 11am
There will be the usual BBQ plus tea/coffee plus the charity raffle – so any left over presents would be gratefully received as raffle prizes, as would any offers of a bit of help on the BBQ.
I’m told we even have a new portaloo tent!
Entry is just £15, and £5 for club membership.
What else are you going to be doing??
