Round 5 of our 2023 season was at Barlows Pit on Saturday, 28th October despite the wet weather, the sandy going meant a reasonably dry course. Thanks to Jacqui and Anne for admin, Reynard and Dave B for marking out, and Jim Gould for the day assistance, and for all the riders that turned out.
Our next event is our Mike Slatter Open To Centre Trial on SUNDAY 19TH November at the Pickling Yards, Mortimer. This will be round 3 of the open to centre twinshock and Pre-65 round PLUS round 6 of our club championship
Thanks as usual to Reynard and Dave Barrett for marking out Round 5 of our club trial at Ellison’s yesterday. Thanks also to Anne and Jacqui for signing on and doing the scores. We also had great help from John Zottl and Chris Judd with clearing the parking area.
Well done to Bailey Tibbs taking the A route win by the smallest of margins from Reynard, with Mark Elms only one mark adrift. Adrian Steele took the B route and Glen Hutchins, the C. Detailed results : http://aldermaston-nomads.org/?attachment_id=1421
Thanks to all the riders who supported us – the next round will be at Hermitage Sand Pit on Oct 28th.
Another date for your diary is our Open to Centre trial at the Pickling Yards, Mortimer on November 19th. This will be a Pre-67 and Twinshock centre championship round plus Nomads CTC round 6 with all the usual classes (Adult and Youth) incorporated.
Round 4 of our 2023 season will be at Ellisons Canyon, Thatcham on Saturday, 30th March The trial starts at 11am . Nearest postcode is RG19 8BW

Hi Everyone, just a quick reminder that the Nomads EGM is tomorrow night at the Ambassador Club in Tadley – hope to see some new faces there!
The Aldermaston Nomads
have not held an AGM for several years due to Covid etc. The club has managed
to survive during this period thanks to the stalwart efforts of the few.
However, this is not sustainable, and more help is needed if the club is to
have a future. The ACU’s imposition of Sport 80 (online entry,
membership, permits etc) has also increased the burden on those with the IT
skills to navigate it!
The upshot is that the club is on its knees and urgently needs
more help and fresh blood if it is to continue.
Please come along to the AGM (or in this case an EGM –
Extraordinary General Meeting) on Monday 14th August at 7:30pm at The
Ambassador Club,
Help steer our club to a bright new future. If you can’t
make the date but are able to help in some way please email Ian Mace (ian.mace@gmail.com) or Brice Haines (anneandbrice@yahoo.com). Either way
let us know if you would like to come along.
Finally!!!! here are the Final results from the 2023 Pathfinder 3 stage. A 3 stage takes a while to sort the results since its really like scoring 2 trials and an enduro all in one, but this year was complicated further by class allocation issues on Sport80. In the end we had to rely on help from a number of sources to come up with the results.
Frankly, the results were a bit of a mess this year, for which I can only apologise – we’ll do better next time
